Trademark of the West: Sadistic Savagery
Israel has violently massacred a people, the Palestinians, and driven them out of their homelands, and forced survivors and their descendants into pockets of land which are effectively concentration camps, in which they have been locked up for decades. It locked 2.3 million people into a 25 mile x 5 mile strip of land which ought to be referred to as the concentration camp at Gaza. A huge part of the incarcerated population is children who have been born there and never gotten to see outside. 97% of the water in Gaza is not fit for human consumption. Israel not only completely controls and utterly cruelly blocks passage of food, aid, fuel, electricity and other resources from land, air and sea, to starve them and to stop the genocide from being broadcast, but launches bombing campaigns on the concentration camp that it has created, night & day and for months & months across years & years. It bombs the residential areas, the hospitals and the people rushing for food aid.
If you had written about Nazi Germany doing that, locking 2.3 million people into a 25 mile by 5 mile concentration camp then starving and bombing them, you would not hesitate at all to describe this as utter barbarism, completely sadistic savagery. You would be cheering if ever the people inside the concentration camp managed to break out, despite being utterly deprived of every single thing that is necessary for human existence and the existence of life, let alone human dignity.
This is the abhorrent crowning culmination of atrocities by the West in the Middle East. The violent various wars & sanctions against, invasions & occupations of and theft of resources from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen; the sadistic torture at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo; the ongoing Nakba and genocide against Palestinians – the demolitions and raids of homes and farms, the routine jailings of innocent people, the control over every aspect of life from work to health treatment to electricity, the retraction of funding for UNRWA, and so much more; the extra-judicial drone killings and routine war crimes and murdering of civilians including those in Collateral Murder; the assassination of an Iranian general, as well as the coups and attempted coups in all decades prior; and more.
The murderous West – the United States, United Kingdom, Israel, Australia and all their accomplices – not only committed all of those catastrophic crimes in the Middle East, not only have faced zero consequences from any of the much touted legal justice systems of the world, but also fully meted out sadistically cruel punishment to honourable dissidents within their societies — most notably Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning in this regard — who unleashed large-scale exposure of their crimes in volumes and volumes of completely damning, undeniable evidence, that which are the very records from none other than the criminals themselves.
Why do they do this? Why could they not just let the peoples of the world be? How do we win our freedom against nuclear-armed murderous empires?
